On 28 October 1942, Blenheim L6752 took off solo on an ab-initio non-operational training flight. The aircraft crashed at night about 8 miles from East Fortune aerodrome, killing Sergeant Terry. At the time of the accident all aircraft had been recalled due to the poor but not impossible weather. The Pilot had advised that his gyro appeared to be unserviceable.
