Air Operations: (No. 460 Squadron Lancaster aircraft ED664), Germany, 29 May 1943

Lancaster ED664 was on a mission to bomb Wuppertal, Germany, during which Warrant Officer Hopwood baled out and was taken prisoner. The aircraft returned safely.

Five of these crew members were lost and one taken prisoner a few days later on 12-13 June 1943 in Lancaster W4316 which was lost during an attack on Bochum, Germany.
