Flying Officer Bond was on the crew of No. 108 Squadron (RAF) Wellington aircraft which was lost on 15 August 1942 and in which Flight Sergeant Morris William Shapir (400357) was killed.

On 18 July 1945, Beaufighter A8-105 crashed into the sea during a non-operational test flight. The crew members were:
