On 27 July 1918, a Medical Board determined that Second Lieutenant Braim was unfit for further service suffering from Neurasthenia. He was returned to Australia and died at No. 16 Australian General Hospital on 26 October 1920 from Syncope and Nervous exhaustion. He has served with No. 1 Squadron in Egypt and Palestine prior to his Medical Board review.
