Mosquito DZ614 took off from RAF Wyton at 1910 hours on the night of 24/25th November 1943, detailed to bomb Berlin. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take off and it failed to return to base. The aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire at 20,000 feet and crashed at Borkheide, 8 kms north east of Bruck.
