At 0936 hours on 13 June 1942, Wirraway A20-560 crashed about three quarters of a mile south of Bankstown Aerodrome, New South Wales, and the two on board were killed. The aircraft had been on a flight to test the generator and it dived into the ground from approximately 1,500 feet after a turn.
