Brother of Flight Sergeant Harold Edgar Dimmock (404819)

Lancaster ED386 took off from RAF Wickenby at 1725 hours on the night of 23 January 1943 to bomb Dusseldorf, Germany. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take-off and it failed to return to base. Post war it was established that the aircraft crashed at Bedburdyck 4kms north west of Grevenbroich. All the crew members had been killed.
