At 1620 hours on 21 October 1941, No. 70 Operational Training Unit (RAF) Blenheim aircraft 6297 crashed near Buressa Sesse Island, Lake Victoria, and the three crew members were all seriously injured and admitted to the Entebbe Hospital, Uganda.
