Leading Aircraftman Enright was severely burned in an accident at the Pachino Landing Ground, Sicily, on 21 July 1943 and died in No. 45 General Hospital in Malta on 25 July 1943. He was disinfecting a small building to be used as an operations room for No. 3 Squadron when a fire started.
Corporal William Fleming (411135) was also fatally injured in the same accident.
