On 20 August 1942, Warrant Officer Farley, an Engineer, attended sick parade. On 23 August he was admitted to Station Sick Quarters Western Junction, suffering from Tuberculosis Meningitis. On 2 August he was transferred by aircraft to Alfred Hospital, Melbourne and he died at that hospital on 6 September 1942.
