Squadron Leader Farrington was an Australian Cadet trained for the RAF who embarked for the UK on 17 July 1937.

Lancaster PB202 took off from Little Staughton at 2110 hours on 29 August 1944 to attack Stettin, Germany. The aircraft crashed some 19 km west of Thisted, Denmark, and all seven crew members were killed.
