Brother of Flight Sergeant Edwin Richard Galligan (425149)

At 2317 hours on the night of 28 June 1943 Lancaster ED307 took off from Dunholme Lodge detailed to attack Cologne, Germany. The aircraft was shot down by a night fighter and crashed at 0254 hours at Nuenen (Noord Brabant), 6 miles north east from the centre of Eindhoven. All the crew members were killed.
