A Missing Research & Enquiry team (Central Mediterranean Area) report stated “on 24 November 1943 Wellington LN466 crashed into a mountain three miles west of Issime, which is approximately 70 miles north-west of Milan, Italy. The aircraft was smashed into small pieces but one complete engine from the aircraft was found. All the crew were killed.”
