On 20 February 1945, Aircraftman Class I Hodges, a Flight Rigger, was admitted to No. 3 RAAF Hospital diagnosed with gastric neoplasm and seriously ill. He died of a Gastric Carcinoma at 1125 hours on 28 March 1945.
