At 0955 hours on 20 July 1942 Tiger Moth A17-234 was taking off as Tiger Moth A17-236 came in to land. Both aircraft converged at about 100 feet when A17-236 turned steeply to port to avoid a collision, climbed and then stalled and crashed. The crew members of A17-236 were:
