A regrettable incident occurred on the evening of the 15th June, which resulted in the deaths of Second Lieutenant S. Jones and his observer, Second Lieutenant A. Loram. These officers had just left the Squadron aerodrome to carry out an artillery reconnaissance when they appeared to get into difficulties and their aircraft (1) nose-dived into the village of Flesselles, where it caught fire and was totally destroyed.
