On 8 December 1944, Aircraftman Class II Linford, a Trainee Clerk/Medical Assistant, was admitted to No. 6 RAAF Hospital suffering from Chronic Nephritis and assessed as dangerously ill. He died of Pericarditis and Nephritis at 0700 hours on the 4 January 1945.
