On 13 June 1947, Leading Aircraftman Low, a Fitter II Engines, sustained injuries when riding a motor cycle that collided with a truck about half a mile east of Blacktown, New South Wales. The pillion passenger, Leading Aircraftman Good, survived the accident. Leading Aircraftman Low was admitted to No. 3 RAAF Hospital and died later that day at 1910 hours.
