Flight Lieutenant Mace was an Australian Cadet trained for the RAF who embarked for the UK on 5 January 1937.
During night flying on 31 March 1940, Battle P2250 spun into the ground, probably near Champigneul-Champagne (Marne) on the west bank of the River Somme-Soude, 16 km east south east of Epernay, France. Both crew members were killed.
