Having died outside the specified period (3 September 1939 to 30 June 1947), Aircraftman March does not meet an eligibility criterion for inclusion on the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour for World War II. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission considers his death as the result of his Service.
On 3 August 1947, Aircraftman March (Trainee Fitter) was killed in motor vehicle accident at Alfredtown, near Wagga Wagga.
