At 2230 hours on the night of 7 May 1944 Halifax LL192 took off from Tempsford, with a number of Squadron aircraft on Special Operations Executive (SOE) Operation Tablejam. Nothing further was heard from the aircraft after take-off and it did not return to base. The body of one crew member was washed ashore in Denmark one two in Sweden while the remaining crew members are recorded as lost at sea.
