Pilot Officer Morton was born and raised in New Zealand and later worked in Sydney, from where he left for the UK and joined the RAF in 1937.
At 1630 hours on 12 May 1940, Battle P2193 took off from Betheniville to attack Bouillon, Belgium. The aircraft crashed near Sensenruth in the target area and both crew members were killed.
