On 10 February 1941, Pilot Officer Nevett, a flying instructor, crashed near Streatley in Magister R1813. He was executing a steep turn with flaps down and had insufficient power available resulting in a stall, from which he had insufficient height to recover. A student pilot on board was also injured in the crash.
