Brother of Pilot Officer Lex Maitland Riordan (426468)

During a non-operational torpedo training flight on 16 August 1943, at 0905 hours Hampden P5341 crashed three miles west of Dunne Harbour, Firth of Clyde, Scotland. One crew member, Flight Sergeant Riordan, was killed.
