Flight Lieutenant Rogers was an Australian Cadet trained for the RAF who embarked for the UK on 9 January 1937.
On 14 May 1940, Battle L5517 took off from Berry-au-Bac to attack enemy forces at Sedan. The aircraft crashed at Chehery (Ardennes) 9 km south west of Sedan, France and all three crew members were killed.
