85890 LAC SMEATH N.C. (General Hand) was killed, and 80734 LAC McNAMARA W. (Driver Motor Transport) was injured when service vehicle No. M.33 left the road, capsized and burned at approximately 0100 hours on the Perth road near Bassendean. An investigation has been convened by the Commanding Officer to enquire into the cause of the accident.
