On 8 November 1942, Flight Sergeant Stevenson was the pilot of Oxford X7111 which was involved in an accident in which Flying Officer Alaric Rupert Samuel White (400522) was killed.

At 1345 hours on 29 May 1944, a Kittyhawk flown by Flying Officer Altoft took off detailed to carry out an operational flight bombing tanks north east of Froginone, Italy. Five minutes after take- off, the aircraft collided in mid- air with another Kittyhawk flown by Flight Sergeant Stevenson and both pilots were killed.
