On 19 November 1945, Leading Aircraftman Watt, a Driver Motor Transport, was dangerously injured when he was accidentally crushed between the bumper bars of heavy vehicles at the No. 5 ACS Camp at Labuan. He was transferred to the No. 2/6th Australian General Hospital at Labuan and died of his injuries on 8 December 1945.
