Do the Lancaster tour, it is the most informative tour i have been on, the guides know their stuff and even though it takes over 2 hours it didn't seem like it with all the great information and being able to crawl/ walk from front to rear on this beautiful aircraft. I highly recommend this place and the special tours to any aviation enthusiasts or even if your not, you will learn how brave our forefathers were, to fly in these aircraft.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I did the Lancaster and Spitfire/Dakota tours and loved every minute of it. So many different historic aircraft to see. My only regrets are that I didn't visit sooner, and that I didn't have more time to stay and look at everything in more detail.

Tour Description

This tour is a must for any avid aviation enthusiast, taking a once in a lifetime opportunity to view firsthand the trials and tribulations of being on a Lancaster aircraft in WWII.
Featuring a personalised tour of the inside and outside of the restored Lancaster bomber, you’ll find out what it is like to crawl over the two wing spars, sit in the wireless operator’s seat and touch the navigator’s desk inside this unique aircraft.

You will also enter the Dakota C47, which served in all theatres of World War II, climbing into the cockpit to view the control panels, seating arrangements and gain a better understanding of the uses of the elements within the aircraft.

Gain an in-depth insight into the mechanics, workings, and crew members of the magnificent aircraft.
